3 photos for no reason other than they make me happy. Plus one of yours truly I kinda can’t believe. Have a good sabbath/weekend…See ya Monday!
And finally… an old photo of me I ran across recently. Yes, as one point I really was THAT skinny.

What a hottie you were, John! (Still are)
. Hope you don’t mind me sharing this link, which was truly partially inspired by your recent political prognostications: http://crayfisher.wordpress.com/2012/06/23/2008-it-aint/
Lola, that link didn’t work for me.
My bad. Here’s the live one: http://peacocksandlilies.com/2012/06/23/2008-it-aint/
John, why didn’t you tell us you were once an extra in a John Hughes movie? Isn’t that the prom scene from “Pretty in Pink”?
We were all extras in John Hughes movies back then. You should of seen my wall of hair with a single colored lock that always matched my outfit (permanent markers were the tool of choice).
Love the high school hair John..
Looks like best actor in a screwball comedy.
that is a friend’s wedding in santa fe and i am very much in college….
John, you look young for your age, while it is a pain to be asked for I.D. to buy a drink when you are actually 28, there comes a time when you appreciate good genes.
There are gay pride parades in numerous cities today, NY among them. As they like to say: our parade is the best–the first one was a riot. Here’s an article describing that infamous night:
Homo Nest Raided, Queen Bees Are Stinging Mad (The New York Daily News, July 6, 1969), By JERRY LISKER
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/features/primary-resources/stonewall-queen-bees/
Folklore has it that the Stonewall regulars had put up with raids before but on that particular night, they were still mourning the passing of Judy Garland and were in no mood for the police.
thanks for the link

oh yeah police raids generally had become a ind of ritual dance…but opps, not that night…and it’s often such a spark that lights a bonfire
Just streamed BEFORE STONEWALL on Netflix. If you have Netflix, stream it. Fascinating stuff, and it gives equal time to both women and men of the era.
Hey there! This is my first comment here so I
just wanted to give a quick shout out and say I truly enjoy reading
your articles. Can you recommend any other blogs/websites/forums that cover
the same subjects? Thank you!
