Height of irony — while we’re discussing OFA’s wasteful use of content-driven internet ads, there was some ad for a fast food chicken sandwich on your show page. (Missed whose before I clicked away.)

I don’t know if this is a blog topic or not, John, but Dianne Feinstein’s mixed messages this week have been rather suspicious, have they not ?

    • tamerlane says:

She grew a spine and spoke the truth about the WH leaks, then got “Bookered”. She’s 78 and running her last campaign for a lock seat — how is it the obamalonians have any leverage on her?

    • JohnSmart says:

It’s possible there are reasons. See Eric Holder – would be my suggestion. I like her and have gladly voted for her every time…the hubby is an investment banker. An “investigation” would do harm even if it was bogus. I suspect Holder is more J. Edgar than we know.

I have very little doubt that Feinstein hates Obama’s guts. Her husband does too…maybe she just told the truth in a moment of glibness and got spanked for it. Even she doesn’t want to be shoved aside should Obama win and somehow, someway the Dems keep the senate.

    • tamerlane says:

The sooner that monster Holder is in an orange jumpsuit, the better.

Excellent show tonight. Just finished listening, and have to thank you for your insight and great guests!

  4. godisayankeefan says:

I learned on Fox news yesterday that Eli Wallach invented the cotton gin.

    • JohnSmart says:

dear lord ha ha! not only did he say that… no one corrected him on the panel — of course i’m only 2 minutes in but i ain’t watching the rest….life is short….

wait…. even worse he was probably reading the rant. which means someone put it on a teleprompter….

    • godisayankeefan says:

If you choose to continue….you’ll also learn that Orville Redenbacher didn’t need government help in Kitty Hawk.

    • boutis says:

My laugh of the day. Thank you! And as usual the show was great and the panel stellar.

    • tamerlane says:

Silly! Everyone knows Wallach created the Crotchety Character Actor Gin.

    • greyledgegal says:

For the record – this is classic Greg Gutfeld. He say the wrong names on purpose. Inside joke for viewers of Red Eye and now carried on to The Five. He is smarter than most and has an ascerbic wit that many don’t appreciate.

    • greyledgegal says:

Ugh – should be *says* not say. By the way, he corrected today that Steven Wright invented the airplane. Of course, I had to tweet him that he was wrong. Everyone knows that Gary Wright invented the first airplane. He named it the “Dream Weaver”.

  5. conner43 says:

Loved Lynn’s comment about the Right being called reactionary in the past. Not sure if that was the word she used, but close enough. John was spot on about the touchy feely Left….

  6. conner43 says:

Taking on Feinstein ? Now that’s Real Audacity..

  7. LonelyLiberal says:

Glenn Greenwald had a scathing article on Feinstein this week.

    • tamerlane says:

Greenwald, last of the honest journalists.

    • I like Greenwald, and agree he has integrity. I met him here in Indianapolis earlier this year, and he was very gracious. Got a pic with him. :)

But sometimes he can’t see through his own bias, and sometimes he gets on a tangent and won’t let it go, even when the horse is clearly dead and mutilated by his beating it.

  8. conner43 says:

Speaking of horses….wonder what Sen Feinstein woke up to, that changed her mind..
