JFK: Ask not… BHO: You didn’t build that, someone else made that happen…

Good news! If the top of the bell curve was “Ask not what your country can do for you…”, certainly Obama now hit the trough with “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that Somebody else made that happen.”  We will presumably begin clawing back up. Observe the decline…

What a great example of how we, collectively, were better then. Reached for our best selves, exemplified by the leader we chose. Not saying he was perfect or the country’s moral compass was perfect, just a damn sight better than today.

We will presumably begin clawing back up.

Not yet. As long enough people keep pushing for either Obama or Romney we’re still going down, because they’re both corporate whores and those defending and rooting for them are their lube.

It was so hard to choose.

You’ll want to stay off Facebook today.
It’s “Wish Barak a HAPPY BIRTHDAY Today! Won’t you please sign the card?”

    • Jay Floyd says:

I’ll sign the card if I get to comment as well…. gimme that damn pen.

He’s makin a list, he’s checkin it twice, gonna find out who’s naughty and nice.

My husband is afraid if I respond with THE birthday message I would like to send, even excluding nasty words, that we’re sure to be audited or our phones wiretapped – I think both may happen anyway since my donation to MR and my few, traceable anti-bo blog comments. here and there. BTW, I’m 70 and have voted in 12 presidential elections, always for the Dem until 2008. My electrical union, yellow dog father, who didn’t know a Republican President until he was 33, probably rolled in his grave when I colored in the oval for McCain.(this was after I supported and voted for HRC in TX primary and caucus). He and my mother did, however, raise 4 children who grew from yellow dogs to liberal Dems – that changed for me somewhat in 2008.

If Sarah Palin had said any of the things in your poll, everyone from MSNBC, NBC, the New York Times, etc would have had a brain hemorrage brought about by extreme outrage and overloaded ridicule transmitters…

Where’s “all the above” cause i think he has got gwb beat here on some stupid things he has said…. ;) and btw, where the heck is that obamisms book? There wer several volumes of bushisms books at this point in his presidency already.

    • Excellent point. Where is the book … and that book called “Obama on the Couch”? Obama has enough perumbras throughout his life to make any psychologist giddy over the potential to uncover the demons in his closet.

  6. Obama’s “You Didn’t Build That” speech is like hearing that little nagging voice in your head telling your worst insecure fears — you aren’t good enough, you aren’t smart enough, how could you think you could possibly do so & so. The voice that constantly reminds you that you have no idea what you are doing, reminding you that you are a failure, no matter your achievements. NO ONE wants to hear that voice stated publicly. And certainly, NO ONE wants to hear that voice coming from the President while we struggle to get the economy going again.
