Pepé Le Pew

Oh my. Pew’s latest poll is devastating news for Obama.  If you want to see just how devastating go read the link. It’s ug lee for Obama on nearly all fronts. The race is still close mind you. But the September “Obama has this thing in the bag” meme is now dead. My, oh my, what a difference one debate can make. This election is fun, don’t ya think?

Might as well have fun with it:

  3. LibOne says:

“We’re back to Bush-Cheney, but more extreme.” Does Sullivan really believe this? I don’t think most independents believe this. Try as the Obama left might, they haven’t been able to convince the middle that Romney is a neo-conservative to the right of Bush.

  4. Jay Floyd says:

“We’re back to Bush-Cheney, but more extreme. We have to find a way to avoid that. Much, much more than Obama’s vanity is at stake.”

As I said… cue the cult But will they take the cue this time? Or is THEIR vanity now at stake? Posturing fans of this president are, after all, motivated by the vanity of righteousness.

Look a few Obots think it’s unfair that he doesn’t get a telepromter in debates ..they say this and not as a joke. They are deranged. Part of the insanity is to keep harping on how crazed Romney is when it was self evident that he simply had the good sense to prepare, and the President did not.

Now for the 12 dimensional chess theory I’ve been holding back on. Clinton gave Obama’s people advice a while back – it was to marginalize Romney as a right wing, big banking nutter, and to stop with the flip flop attacks…”as the left wing nut” attacks “didn’t work on him”. This struck me as bad advice at the time…but Obi’s peeps took it and ran. The results were cued up perfectly in the debate…after months of “he’s nuts” attacks MR came off as smart, well versed, and not at all nuts. A flip flopper attack would have been more lethal given the man being attacked. It has some salience. They are trying this now – and it’s probably too late. MR owned the stage in front of 70 million. Obama wasn’t prepared to assault with flip flopper attacks, which may have thrown MR off…and the entire meme was left by the side of the road months ago anyway. Turns out it was foolish of Axe etc to take Clinton’s advice. Now its a stretch but go into it with me…Bubba is smart enough to convince Obi’s campaign children to go with Carter’s attacks on Reagan instead of the line Rove used on Kerry…and Obi’s kids are stupid enough to forget that Reagan won and Kerry lost. Slap my stretch here in with the potential for Hillary’s state dept to blow up the Benghazi fairy tale..and we have an interesting conspiracy theory. We’ll see if State upends the WH benghazi bullshit.

Also, as I’ve stewed on this it strikes me more and more that Obama just doesn’t care. He can see the post presidency from his window on Air Force One and it looks inviting. He won’t give up as he can’t now. And he’ll do better in the next debate. But there is an “I don’t give a shit” air about him now.

Wow, John scary stuff and – seriously “WH insider” about this comment, but it rings completely true. I guess the only question I would have is that if Obama didn’t take the Clinton’s advice what – honestly – could he do? The one thing that they need – a compelling vision for the next 4 years – is the one thing they don’t have, which is why they are flailing about for something else. Anything else.

    • S-Angeltour says:

…got to agree…after a devasting, seemingly ‘game changer’ debate…what does the incredibly shrinking, shallow O camp do at the same time MR is giving a speech on foreign policy…well after a frenzy weekend of partying in Los Angeles with his “good friends”, the celebs….the O camp puts out an ad about Big Bird…

can they get any more shallow, out of touch and silly…and what is so incredible is that they don’t give a damn about ‘appearances’…they are in our face…it is still all about O, all the time…the people and the country are incidental…as O says…”just get obsessive so we can win this thing”

how have we been so stupid as a country?

The finger-pointing at Hillary has already begun in earnest by the obamalonians.

    • NoEmptySuits says:

Since I don’t have the stomach to venture too deep into the Land of the Obamalonians, can you please say what they’re pointing fingers at Hillary for? Is it Libya? Something else?

    • lililam says:

I agree with your last paragraph, John. It seemed clear while watching the debate that it must sound like “hard work” for obama to keep this charade going. I am quite sure he would rather segue into endless hoops, video games, golf, and other leisure pursuits. There has always been a don’t give a shit attitude, now it is open to view.

    • lililam says:

btw, Pepe Le Pew is right up there with Foghorn Leghorn in my book, two elegant romantics of the masculine persuasion.

  6. conner43 says:

Perhaps the reason O couldn’t cite any of Romney’s flip flops is due to the fact he has no idea what they are. If he was dismissive of all comers in the first place, and didn’t bother to prepare in the second, he can’t form much of an argument when the time comes that one is needed.

Re: Andrew Sullivan, oh please, his idol will go down in history for other attributes than skin color, that alone should comfort dear Andy.

What a pathetic life WW must have, to spend so much time posting 5th grade insults at a blog they don’t like. What, is the Warcraft server down?

Andrea Mitchell deserves an award for unbelievable stupidity and crassness unless she has been diagnosed with althzheimer (sp.) then she needs to be ‘retired.’ Too much koolaid!!!

  9. run_dmc says:

What I find interesting in the continued meltdown on the left is the crying and moaning and gnashing the teeth about “all of Romney’s lies on stage.” What’s interesting is that they just say “he lied” baldly and never once articulate exactly what he lied about. I’ve been following Romney’s platform since the primaries and he didn’t change anything about his plans in last week’s debate. He’s been absolutely consistent. Now one could argue about his numbers and cite different studies back and forth that come to different conclusions about his data, but that’s hardly the same as him “lying.” Of course, one could do that . . . but Obama was clearly not prepared to do that either.

And, honestly when Sullivan can make the following comment: “He [Obama] always needed a clear positive proposal – tax reform, a Grand Bargain on S-B lines – AS WELL AS A STERLING DEFENSE OF HIS ADMIRABLE RECORD” he lacks the credibility, brain power and sanity frankly to challenge someone else as a liar.

  10. conner43 says:

Not exactly a flash of genius here, but maybe Romney’s numbers went up because those pesky likely voters finally saw a positive alternative to Zero.

Two sites, one satirical, one earnest; both via a desperate O-bot pal via FB. Which is which?
    1) The Onion: “Romney Proudly Explains How He Turned His Campaign Around.” Subtitle: “He’s Lying More.” http://www.theonion.com/articles/romney-proudly-explains-how-hes-turned-campaign-ar,29845/

    2) Votermatic: “Aftermath of the First Debate” http://votamatic.org/aftermath-of-the-first-debate/
” If Romney is really experiencing a sudden swing in the polls, then we already have some idea of how quickly that could reasonably happen, based on previous trends. It’s certainly possible that something about public opinion has fundamentally changed within the past week. But if that’s the case, we should require extra evidence to overturn what we previously thought was going on.” (?)

How desperate the campaign must be if they’re relying on Joe Gaffe-tastik Biden to be the firewall. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/howard-fineman/barack-obama-joe-biden-2012_b_1947146.html
