    Great show! So cool that you had Brian Crowell on. Loved all the segments but that was a real treat.

      Why I don’t read the drivel produced by 7th-graders posing as journalists:

      * “Unclear is whether the Obama erosion is fleeting or long-lasting.” Go find that yellow sentence in an article when obama was “running away with” the election a few weeks ago;

      * “Dianne Feinstein’s support for her re-election bid remained largely unchanged, month-on-month”; 1) I’m glad to hear Feinstein still supports her own campaign; 2) ‘month-on-month’?? What exactly is that? Is it like ‘girl-on-girl’?

      * ” Among Independents, Obama led by 14 in September, but now trails by 9 in October, a 23-point right turn among the most coveted voters.” — Uses ‘among’ twice, then tries for variation by writing “most coveted voters’ instead of ‘independents’ again. ‘Most coveted’? Are the other voters less coveted? Maybe the author meant ‘sought after’ but assumes all synonyms are exactly equal;

      * “No narrowly leads Yes 38% to 33% with 29% uncretain.” 1) Use quotations for ‘No’ and ‘Yes’; 2) Somewhere on your computer is a sepll cehck button;

      * “which would revise the 3-strikes law” — Spell out ‘Three Strikes’.

      Hand it back in on Monday and I’ll change your grade.

      Of interest in that child’s book report was the following:

      * a majority of pro-life voters oppose the repeal the death penalty. Perhaps in future they should refer to themselves as “pro-zygote” voters;

      * Hispanics, blacks, Democrats, favor repealing the Three Strikes’ law, while Republicans and asians oppose repeal. Which is really weird, as asians commit almost no crimes.

      Yum on Tamer’s corrections.

    Clearly, ignorance and incivility isn’t only on the Internet, it’s alive and well in-person.

    The Leftist, a 78-year-old woman, a New Berlin school bus driver, has been harassing a student on her bus route because there’s a Mitt Romney yard sign at his home. …

    Belling read a letter from the 12-year-old boy’s mother, detailing the alleged abusive behavior by the bus driver.

    Apparently, the Romney-Ryan yard sign bugs the bus driver and she’s been harassing the boy, making rude comments to him related to politics.

    When the driver engaged the 12-year-old boy in a political conservation, he responded by saying that Obama is pro-abortion.

    The bus driver allegedly said to the child, “Maybe your mom should have chosen abortion for you.”

    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2012/10/bus-driver-tells-12-year-old-he-should-have-been-aborted-because-of-romney-sign-in-his-yard/

    But what really stood out for me in this story is that a 78 year old is driving a school bus. In Wisconsin, no less, where winters can be brutal. If I were a parent that would concern me more than stupid rude comments.

    • PiperMN says:

      Showing your true feelings. The bus driver’s comments were ABUSIVE but you’re worried about her driving. New Berlin is in the southern part of the state not near the Arctic Circle.

    • tamerlane says:

      We had a 23 year-old driver who used to take out mail boxes while turning around to scream at us for laughing at her taking out mail boxes.

      Our parents got her fired. Shortly thereafter, she was committed to an insane asylum. No kidding.

      Showing your true feelings.

      Sounds like you think you caught me redhanded. I always show my true feelings. Some might say to a fault.

      But this isn’t so much a feeling as a considered opinion.

      To bastardize the old sticks and stones saying, a school bus crash will break a child’s bones but a bus driver’s stupid words will only upset a child’s feelings. I prioritize physical safety. As does, I might add, the law. We can be arrested and convicted of breaking someone’s bones but not for breaking their heart.

      The bus driver’s comments were ABUSIVE but you’re worried about her driving. New Berlin is in the southern part of the state not near the Arctic Circle.

      I live in New England, similar latitude as southern Wisconsin, winter roads here can be tough to negotiate, and almost all human beings at 78 have diminished faculties in mental and physical ways. That’s just the way it is.

    Looks like the bus driver will now be enjoying her retirement..

    • conner43 says:

      The above issue raises a larger question: did not other parents notice that by any measure, a quite elderly person was driving their child to and from school?
      Are school bus drivers subject to periodic competency reviews ?

    • PiperMN says:

      The focus should be on what the driver SAID to the student. Remember the bus company reported that she had been driving for them for 20 years without any accidents. There are many competent older drivers as well as those who shouldn’t be on the roads but that can be said about other age groups. New Berlin is a small suburb near Milwaukee.

    Did not see this poll before the show:
    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/10/11/doping-marist-juices-the-numbers-to-help-obama

    Marist keeps obama up in OH by going from D+5 last week to D+11 this week.

  6. run_dmc says:

    Man oh man – this Benghazi scandal is really something else. A former CIA person on cable news this am finally pointed out the conclusion I came to yesterday which was the administration’s drumming up of this random youtube video to do CYA was what created all the ensuing mayhem around the world among Muslims. So, not only should they be held responsible for our people getting killed in Libya, but also if anyone is responsible for the violent protests that came after, it was the administration NOT the youtube video-maker.

    Hey – maybe Obama will get impeached before Nov. 6 and then Romney can run against Biden. Maybe the debate tonight is higher stakes than I thought.

      Sometimes I wish Hill and just remained a senator, she was a good one. Unfortunately she chose to lie down with dogs, and now has a few fleas, or maybe even a whole colony of them..

  7. conner43 says:

    I have been taking off four points from the Dems in all the polls since August.
