Culturally, there is no one “Family of Man”; much of the non-western world is as alien to our values as are the strange creatures of the ocean deep. Female circumcision, Hijabs, Halal, ‘dry sex’, witch hunts, libido potions made of ground rhino horn or sea horse, moronic incantations upon a rug seven times a day — stoning and necklacing and beheading of infidels, for frak’s sake — all this is not ‘different ways of knowing’, it’s vile barbarism.

The Empire immigrants of the 70′s largely assimilated into British culture and enriched it; later arrivals to the UK & Europe have not — they remain isolated, resentful, and increasingly aggressive. France has effectively quarantined Marseilles as ‘Medina North’; the Dutch, following the filmmaker Van Gogh’s assassination in the streets, have retreated from their lax attitude toward immigrants; the Germans have begun to question their liberal Gästarbeiter policy, since, although the first wave of Turks largely assimilated, recent arrivals have not — just look for the somali equivalent of a Kebab-Imbiß — and only wish to suckle off the teat of very infidel beast they seek to destroy.
